K-5 Program

At New Dimensions, students are afforded ownership of their learning. Our multi-age classrooms are places where applied research and evidence-based practices inform innovation, excellence, efficiency, and alternative approaches to education in schools located right at home in the communities where children live, grow, and learn. Through our interest-based project approach, students can truly run with an idea. Specifically, our teachers help students as learning facilitators as they guide students through the project-based approach. First, teachers help students narrow down a topic. Second, students conduct their own research. Finally, students demonstrate what they are learning through a product they create. We also balance the mastery of developmentally-appropriate basic skills and state standards with the love of learning found in every child's curious mind.
